Take Home a Gold ARF David Ogilvy Award!

The agency won the Gold 2009 Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) David Ogilvy Award for Excellence in Advertising Research for the work on the Bank of America Hacia Adelante (Moving Forward) campaign in the Multicultural Category of Banking and Insurance. The Multicultural Category was just introduced this year. The agency has been Bank of America’s Hispanic AOR for more than 16 years, collaborating in developing communications that inform and invite Hispanics to participate in relevant banking relationships, ever since its early days as NationsBank.

The award recognizes advertising research initiatives that were instrumental in developing outstanding marketing and advertising campaigns that achieved marketplace success. The criteria used for judging are in the application of research in four key areas: strategy development, creative development and refinement, direction of media exposure, and demonstration of the marketplace.

That's six Houston Best of Show Addy® Awards in a row!

The agency took top honors at the 47th Annual American Ad Federation’s Houston ADDY Awards, winning 44 awards in all. For the sixth year in a row, Lopez Negrete was awarded Best of Show, this year in Broadcast, for its Miller Lite “Pool Party” TV spot. In addition to this award, the agency also won 10 Gold, 9 Silver ADDYs, and 23 Citations of Excellence.

“It is so rewarding to see your teams’ work recognized by their peers. There is so much that goes into every single piece, that when you see the work and the individuals who created it honored, it is indeed so very special. What makes this ‘Best of Show’ win so special is not only that this is our first year with Miller Lite as a client, but also that this run has been with five different clients: 2009, Miller Lite; 2008, Fiesta Mart; 2007, Visa USA; 2006, Microsoft; 2005, Tyson Foods; 2004, Visa USA.
